Spectra Training has been acknowledged as one of three finalist in the 2013 Victorian Training Awards.
The Minister for Higher Education and Skills Peter Hall recognised those who achieved outstanding innovation in vocational training. Mr Hall said “the awards highlighted the vital role vocational training played in boosting industry relevant skills”. Spectra had been selected as one of the top three large training companies (more than 1500 enrolled students) in Victoria. This is the first time since 1999 that a private RTO has been selected as a finalist in the Large Training Provider category as this category is normally dominated by the prestigious TAFE colleges.
The Victorian Training Awards gave Spectra Training the chance to showcase the positive inroads they had made to establish an alternative framework for trainees and apprentices around Australia.
The Minister also officially congratulated Spectra for the 2013 ACPET Industry Initiative Award. “Success at a national level demonstrates that private providers are playing a valuable role in delivering industry-relevant and quality training”, Mr Hall said.
